Why I love makeup so much...

When I was younger, I always use to sneak into my parents room and play with my mum's makeup. On her vanity would be Chanel, Dior, YSL and many more amazing brands, which as a child I didn't appreciate the fact I was messing around with expensive makeup, but now I would love to have the chance to play around with it all! I always knew when I grew up I wanted to have a makeup collected just like hers. Her makeup collection wasn't just what I loved, her process of applying it was mesmerising, I would sit there for ages watching her, and was always so happy when she offered to apply some lip gloss to me.
It wasn't just her makeup that I admired, but also her elegance and personality. She always made sure she was polite and lady like, even if she didn't have her makeup on she always looked beautiful as she has such a friendly personalty. I found beauty wasn't just from doing makeup but also how you held yourself as a lady.
As I got older and started to get my own makeup, I started to play around. I went through some very odd fazes with makeup (black smoky eyes and foundation lips 🤦🏻‍♀️) but this helped me learn what suited me.
I'm always learning new skills with makeup, not just on myself but also clients.
I fell in love with makeup from a young age and couldn't wait for the day to be able to do my own makeup. It's such an amazing thing how makeup can change your mood and make you feel so much better about your self.
This isn't to say makeup is what makes you a beautiful person. Your personality make you a beautiful person from within.

I'm just so happy I had the mother that I did, not just for the purpose of makeup, but to be raised by such an amazing, loving soul to make me the person I am today ❤

Fairy Makeup

I have been recently trying out a lot of new makeup looks, as you can see from my blog posts! I wanted to create something pretty and glittery. I came up with this look, which the only way I could describe it was fairy makeup due to the use of pink and glitter!

When creating looks like this I focus the bright pink colour on the inner and outer corners of the eye. Use a light hand as the colour is very bright and build to the desired brightness. Once I have completed this I first took a white shadow and placed in the centre of the lid. Then I took a white glittery pigment and used some lash glue to keep the pigment in place. This again only place in the centre of the lid.
Once I had added this I again went in with that bright pink shade on a pencil brush to bring the shade through the crease of my lid. And then blend!
To complete the look I just added lashes. With false eye lashes I do believe it depends on the eye shape on which lashes will suit best. So which ever lashes suit your eye shape best apply to the upper lash line.
Use either white or nude liner in the water line to give the appearance of bigger eyes and the coat the lower lashes with lots of mascara.
I then did the same pattern just below my lower lash liner, so focused the pink in the inner and outer corner and then applied white in the centre.

And there we have the fairy look!

Makeup Artist Training

So I'm currently training to be a qualified makeup artist at the moment. I do have previous expierence of working in the makeup industry and have done makeup artist courses but none which have lead to a qualification. I feel with my blog, YouTube channel and also doing other people makeup this will really help me to learn new skills that I can use on my channel and on clients.

So I thought it would also be nice to share with you all my progress and the different things I have been learning with step to ate guides on how I achieved these looks.
Now I have already completed a few modules of the health and safety bits which I won't be sharing on here but I will be sharing the makeup looks!

 The Aqua eye look -

To create this look I started off by using a matte skin tones shadow, alternatively you could just use a power to cover the kid. This makes it much easier for blending especially when using such pigmented colours!
Then I took a pearl white shade and covered the lid stopping at the crease, I also took this shade to my inner corner to give the appearance of a bigger eye. To also help achieve a bigger more open eye effect I then took a white eye liner and lined the water line.
Then going over the top of the lid just below the crease I took a bright blue shade. Going in with a slightly greener shade I filled this into the crease.
Then to make the blue stand out even more on the lid I took Mac fix plus to dampen my brush along with a bright plié pigment and went over the blue shadow on my lid.
I then added mascara lightly to my lashes as I added very dramatic lashes over the top.

This was the completed Aqua look. :)

May Favorites

Hi Guys,

I will now be doing all my blog posts on here (my new blogging site) however I will still be posting also on my google plus page with links to the full posts which will be located here now :)

I am currently uploading my May Favorites video which I will link to this post once it has fully uploaded. I have been loving some amazing both new and old products recently and decided to share these products with you all. Some of the items are from new collections which I have purchased recently and some are items I have owned for a few years now but I have rediscovered my love for them!

I just wanted to mention in the video I was wearing this amazing new outfit. You can get some really beautiful things at the moment for summer for a really affordable price. The play suit im wearing is from miss guided and the kimono is from the Michelle Keegan range at Lipsy. So keep an eye out in the video for that ;)

In the image just to the right you can see the products I have been loving for the month of May.
These items include:

- bareMinerals Faux Tan Face and Body
This is slightly more expensive for a fake tan, the colour it gives to your skin is so beautiful, a very golden glow which you can build up to a very dark shade by further application. The only downside to this product is the developing smell, but once you hav washed it off after the 12 hours or however long you leave depending on the shade of tan you like the smell does go away.

The next skin care item is the Origins eye doctor eye cream. I mainly got this due to advise on my age (22) and around this sort of age you should start to add eye creams to your skin care routine. I have only tried a few so far but this one is amazing. I have noticed a real difference to the eye area. It looks a lot more hydrated and softer and the smell it amazing. Its a very fresh scent with a hint of cucumber.

As the weather is getting warmer and the sun it out a lot more here in England I like to add hydrating products to my hair. I have very thick hair which dries out very easily. So when I dicovered this Ojon Hydration mist probably about 2 years ago now I fell in love! I makes my hair so shiny and also if you want beach waves spray some of this on and it adds amazing texture to your hair. This also smells amazing!!!

The second items are some new items from the Loreal collection. I recently bought both the eye shaddow palette and lip gloss and they are both amazing. I wont go into to much detail on here but check out my Youtube vid for more detials.

For my skin I have been loving a night shimmer highlight, and my go to one at the moment is definatly the Mary Lou Manizer by the Balm. This is an incredibly stron ghighlight but great if you havea pale skin tone like myself. It adds a beatiful glow both for day time and evening makeup looks.

The final two products are both eye brow related. I have real trouble with my eye brows as naturally they are really dark, but I hate heavy eye brow make up on my eye brows as I find it looks really fake and overpowering for my face. So I recently purchanced the Anasdasia Beverly Hill Dip Brow Pomade. I love this, it blends so easy and you can have it both heavy and light depending on what style you like. To add to this I like to highlight under my brow with the Benefit high brow and I find this gives my eye brows the perfect shape.

These are all the items I have been loving for the month of may. For more information on the products check out my Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnBDYS88vYHJZaxMAOgQlIw where you can check out the video. I will also have a direct link once the video has been uploaded
